Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What time will the wedding start?

A: There will be lemonade and iced tea served at 3:00 pm, and the ceremony will start shortly afterward. Please make travel arrangements so that you arrive between 3:00-3:15 pm.

Q: Will the wedding be inside or outside?

A: The ceremony will be outside, weather permitting, and the reception will be outside under a tent. If the weather does not cooperate with our plans, the ceremony will be inside the main house.

Q: What should I wear?

A: We’re thinking of our wedding as a nice summer party in the backyard, so a nice sundress for the ladies will do just fine. For men, a nice pair of slacks and a button down shirt is what we’re thinking. A suit is ok too, if that’s your pleasure.

Q: Is there parking at the Ethical Society?

A: There is very limited parking, so please carpool or take the train to Croton Harmon and a taxi to the Ethical Society. If you are unsure about how to travel, don’t hesitate to ask us!

Q: What time will the wedding end?

A: We expect the wedding to come to a close around 8:00 or 8:30 pm. But if you want to dance the night away, we can definitely stay later!

Q: What kind of food will be served?

A: We will have Greek food for cocktails and dinner, paying homage to our home in Astoria, Queens. We will have meat kabobs, grilled veggies, salad, spicnach pie, hummus and pita – all the standard Greek fare. With this menu, you can load up or plate or just have a light meal.
